Intro

ANCHOVY. was approached by Forestals, a household name in Malta who has been operating in the local market for over 80 years as a one-stop shop for any company that needs to set up their offices, to create a B2B website that communicats all their services, while also showing their expertise within the business through succesful previous projects.

Forestals Professional

Forestals’ B2B service, Forestals Professional, consists of eight different units (rent a store, HP Supplies, Leasing Printing Devices, Broadcasting Solutions, IT Solutions, Carpeting, Flooring and TV Systems), making them able to provide all the requirements necessary to complete an office fit out, whilst offering a maintenance agreement on the products sold.

What we want to achieve

Due to the fact that Forestals Professional is offering such a broad range of services they might be perceived as a jack of all trades, so it was important that we communicated their services clearly and show that they are specialists.

The B2B website had to be shown as a different unit to Forestals Commercial, but keeping the common link between the two utilising the brand guidelines.

Business Research

We ran a survey in collaboration with our market research partners to determine how customers perceive their business services, and more specifically to obtain insight into a business’ purchasing behaviour and drivers of supplier choice, and their knowledge of Forestals Professional’s range of services. Also, to evaluate the strength of business awareness, perceptions and attitudes towards Forestals and competing suppliers.

Wireframe

After analysing the data we obtained from the survey, we were able to anticipate on what it is the user is expecting to see and where they wanted to go. We wanted to consider all aspects of the user’s journey, and tried to guide them through the right avenues by placing clear indicators on every page which made them flow easily through the website.

Content Organisation

While we had a lot of content that had to be communicated, we were placing the information in a way that made sense to the overall design of the website. The trick was to give the user enough information per section to guide them through the services, without providing too much information that they felt overwhelmed and were put off.

Design

Once we knew what went where, we moved on to the design phase. We wanted to communicate a calm feeling by using light colours and large clean imagery, while using the Forestals blue to keep the connection with their other businesses.

Iconography

The icons are created to indicate Forestals Professional’s services and guide the user through the website.

Questionnaire

We wanted to provide the user a little extra and help them find out how we can suit their office needs. We decided that a questionnaire, that wouldn’t take too much time to complete, would be the most efficient approach.

Firstly, the user is asked to chose their business size, so that Forestals would know the scale of the business they are dealing with.

Next, the user is able to select one or more services provided by Forestals that would fit their office needs.

Lastly they are asked to fill in their contact details, so that Forestals is able to provide them with a tailored business solution.

Animation

The client wanted to have an all-in-one video or motion that shows their services. We decided that the best way to approach this was by creating an office space that is completely filled in with Forestals’ services.

Process

Together with the client we decided what items had to be shown in the animation; laptops, computers, interactive panels, 3d printers, normal printers, server room, modern furniture, flooring, noise cancellation and people. All the elements were then illustrated and animated individually which made up for a succesful end result.
